Are there import duties on auto parts shipped to Canada? +
Not from Standard Auto Part. All inventory is stocked across five Canadian locations (Edmonton AB, Calgary AB, North York ON, Mississauga ON, Quebec QC) — orders ship domestically and never cross the US border. Import duties only apply to cross-border shipments. This is the key difference from US-based suppliers like RockAuto, where duties are the customer's responsibility.
How is shipping cost calculated? +
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your postal code and the weight and dimensions of your order. Standard Auto Part charges the real carrier rate — there is no markup added to shipping costs and no part price inflation to subsidize free shipping.
