# Hella 2006-2016 Mercedes-Benz GL320 AMG High Intensity Discharge (HID) Lighting Ballast

The proportion of electronics in vehicles has increased continuously in recent years. The ballast unit is needed to operate the xenon lamps. Several control and safety circuits are integrated in the unit. A defective ballast results in a total failure of the headlamp.
